Who takes site waste away for builders and trades

Rubbish Removals Ltd takes site waste away for builders and trades. The service suits kitchen fitters, bathroom installers, roofers, plasterers, landscapers and general builders who need strip-out and offcuts gone from a job where a skip is not practical. A two-person team loads the van from wherever the waste is stacked, inside or out. You pay for the space your waste fills, and the price is confirmed before loading.

Mixed waste from a refit, such as old units, tiles, packaging, plasterboard and timber, goes as a builders waste clearance. Keep the plasterboard in its own pile, because it should be kept separate from general waste. Heavy loads are a separate matter. Bricks, rubble, concrete and soil are covered by hardcore waste removal, where weight counts as well as volume, so tell us roughly how many bags or barrow loads there are.

On terraced streets and town centre jobs there is often nowhere to stand a skip, and one on a public road needs a permit from the council. With wait and load the van parks up, takes the waste while it waits and leaves, so nothing sits outside the property. For smaller jobs, man and van rubbish clearance is priced by how much of the van you fill. Our skip hire vs man and van guide compares the two.

Waste from your work is business waste, and you have a duty of care to pass it only to a licensed carrier and to keep the waste transfer note. We hold upper tier licence CBDU526130 and provide a transfer note and an invoice for every job, which you can keep with the job file or show your customer. Collection is same-day or next-day wherever possible, so a finished job is not left with a pile on the drive.

How rubbish removal works for builders and trades

  1. Photograph the pile

Send a photo on WhatsApp to 07935 554 253 with the site address and a note of what the waste is made up of.

  2. Agree the price

We quote from the photo and your description. You get a confirmed price before any waste goes on the van.

  3. Van loaded for you

The team carries the waste from the room, garden or drive and loads it. Your crew can carry on working.

  4. Paperwork for the job

An invoice and a waste transfer note are sent to you. Everything collected is taken to a licensed facility and sorted there.

Why builders and trades use us for site waste

No skip outside overnight

The van arrives, loads and goes. That helps on streets with no drive, no verge and no room for a skip.

Your crew keeps working

We do the lifting and carrying, so skilled hours go on the job instead of on runs to the tip.

Booked when you need it

Call for one load after the strip-out and another at the end. Each visit is its own job with its own price.

Paperwork you can show

Every load comes with a waste transfer note under upper tier licence CBDU526130, plus an invoice for your records.

Before and after: what our clearance looks like

Before: a heap of bricks and rubble on a driveway Before
After: the same driveway clear After

Separating heavy waste, plasterboard and timber on site

A little sorting before we arrive makes the load quicker to price and to shift. Stack rubble and soil apart from light waste, because heavy material limits how much a van can carry. Keep plasterboard on its own. Clean timber, such as joists, sheet offcuts and old doors, can go as wood waste clearance. If the job has turned up anything you are unsure about, such as suspected asbestos sheet, old paint or gas bottles, send us a photo and ask first.

Access is worth a line in your message. Tell us if the waste is in a back garden reached through the house, up a flight of stairs or behind a locked gate, and where the van can stop. If you will be off site, we can still collect as long as access is arranged with you or the homeowner. For the rules on trade waste and the options for each material, read our builders waste disposal guide.

Questions builders and trades ask about waste removal

Is a van collection better than a skip for a small job?

Neither is better every time. A skip suits waste that builds up over several days where there is room to stand it. A van collection suits single loads, streets with no space, and jobs where you would otherwise need a road permit. You pay for the space you fill, and the team does the loading.

Do you take rubble and soil?

Yes. Bricks, rubble, concrete, tiles and soil are collected, bagged or loose. They are heavy, so weight matters as well as volume, and a van holds less of them than of light waste. Tell us the number of bags or the rough size of the heap and we will quote.

Do I get a waste transfer note for each job?

Yes. Every job comes with a waste transfer note and an invoice. Businesses must keep their transfer notes, and the note is useful if your customer asks who took the waste. It shows the load was passed to a licensed carrier, licence CBDU526130.

Can you collect while we are still working on site?

Yes. The team collects from wherever the waste is stacked and keeps out of your way. Tell us your site rules and the times that suit, for example before the plasterer starts or after a delivery, and we will fit the collection around them wherever possible.

Can you take up the old carpet before we start?

Yes. If a room needs to be bare before you lay a floor or start decorating, the old carpet and underlay can be taken up and removed as carpet removal. Send a photo and the rough room sizes, and say whether furniture needs moving first.

What if we find asbestos, old paint or gas bottles on a job?

Stop and send us a photo before it goes in with the general waste. We will tell you what can go on the van and what needs a different route. Asbestos is one of the hazardous materials that needs a specialist contractor.
