Garden clearance for overgrown, cluttered and neglected gardens

Garden waste builds up quickly. A weekend of cutting back fills more bags than the garden waste bin will ever hold, and the old trampoline, the rotten decking and the broken slabs behind the shed have nowhere to go either. Rubbish Removal Irlam clears gardens and yards of green waste and junk alike. We collect from wherever the waste is, carry it to the van and tidy up afterwards.

Most gardens produce a mix of materials, and they do not all end up in the same place. Branches, fence panels and decking are timber, which our wood waste clearance page covers in more detail. Soil, turf, slabs and broken concrete are heavy, so weight matters as well as volume. If that is most of your load, read about hardcore waste removal before you ask for a price.

Access is the awkward part of most garden jobs. In a terrace with no side gate, everything has to come through the house, so loose waste is bagged first. Long gardens mean a lot of walking back and forth to the van. If there is a shed that needs to come down as well, it can be taken apart and removed on the same visit. See shed removal for how that works.

You do not need to bag anything or drag it to the kerb. Leave the cuttings where they fell and the junk where it sits, and send us a photo or a description for a free quote. If you are weighing up a skip, a tip run or a collection, our guide to garden waste disposal options compares them. We confirm the price before loading, with no hidden fees.

We collect across Irlam, and you will find us at 14A Liverpool Rd, Cadishead, Manchester M44 5AF. To book garden clearance in Irlam, fill in the quote form, message us on WhatsApp or call 0161 985 0614. For everything else we take, see rubbish removal in Irlam.

How our garden clearance works

  1. Send a garden photo

Photograph the waste and the route out, whether that is a side gate, a back alley or through the house.

  2. Get a clear price

We quote for free from the photo and agree a day, same-day or next-day wherever possible.

  3. We clear and load

The team gathers, bags and carries the waste to the van. Bulky items are broken down where needed.

  4. Tidy up and paperwork

We tidy the areas we worked in and give you a waste transfer note and an invoice.

Why choose us for garden clearance

No bagging for you

Leave cuttings in heaps and junk where it is. We gather it up, bag what needs bagging and carry it all out.

Mixed loads, one visit

Green waste, timber, metal and garden junk can go on one collection. It is sorted afterwards at licensed facilities.

No skip on the drive

The van comes, loads and leaves. Nothing sits on your drive or the road while you fill it, and no permit is involved.

Licensed waste carrier

We hold upper tier waste carrier licence CBDU526130 and give you a waste transfer note for what we take.

Before and after: what our garden clearance looks like

Before: a back garden with bags, broken furniture and green waste Before
After: the same garden cleared back to the lawn After

Side gates, back alleys and where garden waste goes

Tell us how we reach the garden. A side gate with a clear path to the road is the easy case. Through the house, down steps or along a shared back alley takes longer, and access is one of the things that affects the price. If the alley itself is full of dumped waste, that can be dealt with separately as an alleyway clearance, which neighbours often arrange between them.

After collection, the load goes to licensed facilities for sorting. Green waste can typically be composted, and clean timber and metal recycled, which is part of how around 90% of what we collect is recycled. Some things need a question first. If you have Japanese knotweed or another invasive plant, or old weedkiller, paint or gas bottles from the shed, send us a photo and ask us before you book.

Garden clearance Irlam FAQs

Where are you in Irlam?

Our address is 14A Liverpool Rd, Cadishead, Manchester M44 5AF. We come to you to collect, so there is no need to visit. Call 0161 985 0614, message us on WhatsApp or use the quote form to book.

Do I need to bag my garden waste before you come?

No. Leave it in piles where it fell. The team bags loose cuttings, leaves and weeds as part of the job and carries branches and larger pieces as they are. If you have already bagged it, that is fine too. Tell us roughly how many bags so we can judge the load.

Can you take soil, turf and rubble with the green waste?

Yes, but tell us how much there is. Soil, turf, slabs and concrete are far heavier than cuttings, so weight matters as well as volume. A photo of the pile with something beside it for scale helps us price it properly.

What if the only way out is through the house?

That is normal for terraced houses. Loose waste is bagged before it comes through, and larger items are broken down so they fit through doorways. Tell us when you ask for a quote, because access is one of the things that affects the price.

Is a garden clearance better than hiring a skip?

It depends on the job. A skip suits a slow project where you fill it bit by bit. A collection suits waste that is ready to go, because we load it and leave. You also avoid a permit if the skip would sit on the road. Our guide to skip hire versus a man and van compares the two.

Can you take a trampoline, greenhouse frame or playhouse?

Yes. Trampolines, climbing frames, playhouses and greenhouse frames are taken apart where they stand so they can be carried out. Mention any glass, concrete footings or items fixed to the ground when you send your photo, so the job is priced correctly.

Do you take household junk that has been left in the garden?

Yes. Gardens often collect old bikes, paddling pools, plant pots, barbecues and broken furniture alongside the green waste, and it can all go on the same visit. It is priced as one load by volume. For anything unusual, such as tyres or tins of paint, send us a photo and we will tell you.
